Our permanent residents

Although at any point in time Aashray is home to over 50 animals who at the shelter either for their ABC or treatments, but then we do have a few friends of ours who have chosen to make Aashray their permanent residence and help their in-transit buddies feel at home during their stay at the shelter. These souls are not only adored by us but are also apple of our eyes. They range from dogs in their old age, dogs who were critically injured and couldn’t fend for themselves to dogs who were abandoned by their owners at the shelter gates, for their own set of reasons. Aashray continues to be their permanent home and will be their safe haven till the very end. Often during the evenings, if you go in silence you will find the older residents imparting pearls of wisdom to the new entrants, all of whom sit huddled around in a circle eager to learn whatever they can.
